Odenton is crrently served by nine public elementary schools.
Four
of these are located on Fort George Meade. They include Manor View, Meade Heights, Pershing Hill and West Meade.
There are five
more elementary schools that serve the Odenton community. They are Four Seasons, Odenton, Waugh Chapel, Piney Orchard, and Ridgeway Elementary.
This growing area is also served by several public middle and high schools. The Arundel Middle and High School is located on Route 175, west of the USNA
Dairy Farm. The MacArthur Middle, Meade Middle and Meade High Schools are all located on Fort George Meade.

Parks and Recreation.
The Odenton area has many community parks that serve both active and passive recreational needs.
Active recreational opportunities are available at the GORC Park (47.7 acres), Piney Orchard Park (3.1 acres), and the Piney Orchard Ice Rink (9 acres).
Passive recreation is available at the Odenton Natural Area (122.1 acres), Patuxent Ponds Park (9.8acres), Patuxent River Greenway (171.4 acres), and
Trowsers Branch Park (8 acres).
Library.
A 9,000 square foot library is currently located on Odenton Road across from the O'mally
Senior Center. It is a highly utilized place for meetings as well a hosting many childrens programs.

Police and Fire Service.
Odenton Police service is provided by the West County Police Station on Route 170, just north
of the intersection with Route 175.
The West County Police Station also serves Odenton by allowing portions of its facilities to be used
for community meetings.
Fire Service is provided by the Odenton Volunteer Fire Company, which is the largest and most active in the County.
Service is augmented by the County-owned
Waugh Chapel Fire Station and the fire station at Fort George Meade.
